The Kingdom of God Exposed

Jesus was the Kingdom of God exposed to mankind. In Jesus, the Kingdom was observed (Matt.12:28). In Jn.1:14The Message version puts it like this:  “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” Though the Father was sitting upon a throne in heaven, He could be seen in the earth in Jesus as He interacted with His environment. (Jn.20:21b) Jesus said, “…as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” There are people in our neighborhoods and at our jobs and in our families who need to see the Father through us. We are praying you discover daily that your life is reflecting Jesus.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.) www.txpraise.com

Father Seen In Son

Though the Father was sitting upon a throne in heaven, He could be seen in the earth in Jesus as He interacted with His environment. And so it is with His sons today. (Jn.14:9; 20:21; 1Pe.2:9)
“The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the
glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” (Jn.1:14, Msg)

Glory Of The Father

walk aloneJesus was a Tree who brought forth fruit (Jn.12:28; 17:1). Jesus was the Kingdom exposed to mankind. In Jesus, the Kingdom was observed; in His lifestyle, His character, His actions (Matt.12:28). The fact that He brought forth fruit is the fact that He was the glory of His Father in the earth. “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (Jn.1:14, NASB) In his new book, The Orphan Heart, Larry Burden gives an interesting definition of “glory” from the Greek word “doxa”:  “the appearance, form or aspect of a person which catches our attention and commands our recognition”. The Message puts it like this:  “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” (Jn.1:14, Msg) Though the Father was sitting upon a throne in heaven, He could be seen in the earth in Jesus as He interacted with His environment.

Pulling Us To The Image Of Christ

The overwhelming factor in God’s design is that He has purposed to bring each of us to the Image of Christ (Rom.8:29). That wondrous “Gravity Pull” upon us is not pulling us to heaven. It is pulling us to display the Word… made flesh… full of grace and truth. (Jn 1:14) God is pulling us to Himself in order that we may be like Him. “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2Co 3:18)
