When Someone Criticizes

pointing criticizingWhen someone criticizes it opens a flood door of past criticisms to rush in one after another that seem to confirm the assessment.  The enemy takes advantage and takes a toll on the person’s value, purpose and vulnerability. Then shutdown and withdrawal are two major temptations. Let us be careful not to criticize and let us steel ourselves against the effects of criticism.

“…Every time you criticize someone, you condemn yourself. It takes one to know one. Judgmental criticism of others is a well-known way of escaping detection in your own crimes and misdemeanors.” (Rom.2:1, Msg)

Vicarious Insights

Following are three victories won with un-carnal weapons that were received in dreams and visions:

Vicarious Insights  (Walking in someone else’s shoes so we can swing an un-carnal weapon in their behalf!):

Recently a doctor and his wife told me of a dream and a vision they had on the same night.  The experience brought the two warriors into agreement that literally set the enemy to flight.  The doctor had a patient who was a satan-worshipper and the patient had a tag-along demonic force to be dealt with during his visits.  The doctor asked his wife to pray with him concerning the situation.

door sunshineThat night the doctor’s wife dreamed she was trying to feed some needy people and one man in a demonic outburst started to bite her.  She was frustrated that there seemed to be no one to help her get him to deliverance.  In her frustration she turned to look for assistance and blurted out, “For the love of God . . .”

Suddenly her husband awoke, “Did you hear that?”  She was grateful to be awakened from the dream, but admitted she had not heard anything.  He had awakened to the sound of their back door slamming.  When he went to check the door, he found it unlocked but shut.  In that same moment he knew by the Spirit that a dark spirit had just fled from his house.

In the dream, the wife was experiencing “biting the hand that feeds you.”  The demonized man was attacking her as she tried to help him.  This was an intercessory picture for her of what her husband was going through.  A patient, that he obviously was trying to help, was a bearer of a dark spirit that opposed anything good or positive and was running interference and trying to harass the doctor.  The wife’s outcry in the dream, “For the love of God!” was an un-carnal weapon, a declaration of the purpose and plan of God in intercessory warfare.

Let me lay some groundwork.  A man we know went to India to minister.  Soon after he arrived, a shaman came to his hotel room.  He obviously came to harass and intimidate him because he did not use the door.  The shaman came right through the wall and backed the man onto his bed where he towered over him menacingly.  The shaman demanded, “What are you doing here?”  The minister hesitated and then spoke wisely from his spirit, “I am here because of the compassion of Christ.”  If the minister had argued his rights and his cause rather than the cause of Christ, he would have been limited to self-protection; and self would not have been a match for the experienced power of darkness confronting him.  There was no arguing with the wise answer however, and the shaman disappeared as quickly as he’d come without another word.

The “love of God” and  “the compassion of Christ” are un-carnal weapons, mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds!  That outcry in the wife’s dream was intercessory for her husband’s situation.  That power point of agreement with her husband literally set the enemy to flight.  Her husband witnessed the flight in a night vision as he heard the door slam.  (In visions we can experience the spirit realm, meaning we can see, hear, taste, smell or touch things in the spirit realm around us.)  Their agreement, a powerful un-carnal weapon, had set darkness to flight!  Two days later the patient was gone also. ** The other two victories will be shared in the next two excerpts.

Absent From Fellowship

red chair

As the people of God assemble today, may there be faith stirred
in hearts concerning those who have been absented from the
local fellowship. May there be expectancy that they be returned
to the fellowship to edify and, once again, take their place on the wall.

“May the Lord watch between you and me when we are absent and
hidden one from another.” (GEN. 31:49, Amp)

Steering Away From Issues That Distract

Bearded Lady

May the Lord steer us away from obligations, issues,
and religious and political pet-peeves, that would
occupy time and require energy that we are not
ordained to pour ourselves into.

“Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all
sideshow distractions.” (Prov.4:25, Msg)

Access God’s Arsenal

people prayingWe can access God’s arsenal of un-carnal weapons by seeking Him.  We become skillful with His weapons as we learn His ways. We learn His ways by paying attention to the truth He reveals and by submitting to His order and following through on His directions.  Un-carnal weapons can be searched out or even handed to us in a word of wisdom or prophecy or a dream or a vision.  Or, God can send someone (people or angels), wielding His weapons in our behalf.  There is no way to predict or describe every un-carnal weapon available to us.  Our Creator’s creativity is unlimited!  He has unique, customized weapons in His arsenal that will counter any weapon ever formed against us (Isa 54:17).

Not Obsess Over Difficult Circumstances

Keep Out! #3 — May the power of the Word of God and
enablement of the Holy Spirit help us keep out tendencies
to obsess over difficult circumstances.

“Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the
conclusion that God isn’t on the job.” (1Pe.4:12, Msg)

The Metal Of Un-Carnal Weapons

steel

God’s Word and His principles and His character and His will are the metal of un-carnal weapons.  For example, when we discover strongholds in our own lives that do not align with His word or principles or character or plans, humility can become an un-carnal weapon.  The Word says that if we will humble ourselves He will give us grace. (1 Pet 5:5)   So, when we choose to humble ourselves before God, we position ourselves to receive grace.  That means we are enabled to change and the stronghold is brought down.

Un-Carnal Weapons

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, (2 Cor 10:3-4NKJ)

man yellI pray we become a people of God, skillful in the use of un-carnal weapons.  I believe the first step to that goal is learning to recognize the difference between carnal (governed by mere human nature only) and un-carnal weapons.  If we simply “do what comes naturally,” we are choosing carnal weapons.  So, we must learn to do what comes super-naturally.  Emotional reactions that flare up in us are sometimes explosive and therefore seem powerful.  After all, we all know what it is like to fear someone’s upset or wrath.  However, emotional outbursts, like a persuasive tongue or logic or rationalization are common weapons of the natural man; therefore they are still carnal weapons and do not compare with un-carnal weapons like Godly authority and wisdom or Divine revelation and intervention.

Stirred For Harvest

harvest

As the people of God assemble today, may their hearts be stirred for the nations
so that they give workers, money, time and effort for inroads to be built to reach
them with the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Then He said to them, ‘The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few;
therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’” (Lk.10:2, NKJV)

Think Through Matters

Thinking

May the Lord help us to think through matters

when they are presented to us, before we speak

or act on them.

“Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common

Sense with your life; don’t for a minute lose sight

of them.” (Prov.3:21, Msg)

A Wide Door Of Opportunity

Open Door

A WIDE DOOR OF OPPORTUNITY . . . NOW
This, indeed, is the day the Lord has made and this is the day of His Kingdom advancing.  A very real, key factor in ministries being able to go through those opportune doors, in being able to advance, is the giving of the people of God.  Giving facilitates advancement. So. . .  we will take advantage of every means and media to preach the Kingdom of God, to advance the Kingdom of God (Lk.4:43; 9:2; 9:60), for a wide door of opportunity is open to us in 2014. “For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.” (1Cor.16:9, Amp)  The Kingdom is always advancing against opposition but the rule and authority of God to finish what He started is unstoppable.

Love And Serve

family

I remember hearing about a man who attended a seminar and upon arriving told someone that he had come there to learn how to manage his family. One of the older leaders responded something on this order, “Don’t try to manage your family; learn to love and serve them, then leadership in the family will come as a by-product of the loving and serving.”
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her” (Eph.5:25, NKJV)

Doing More With More Results-Part 2

More Kingdom advancements (continued from Monday):
 (3) The other side of the world

Within minutes of their occurrence, we receive reports of miracles and miraculous intervention from the other side of the globe. Prophecy, declaration and intercession are all in real-time with the events. We can put Global communications, Europesomeone in another country inside 24 hours or put training materials there within a few days or put materials there in a few seconds by emailing files. We have emailed files within minutes to countries 1,000’s of miles away to become part of the curriculum of brand new Bible schools.

   (4) People getting saved while reading magazine

Business people have been saved while reading prophetic declarations in FICMI magazine (Jorge and Lorena Gamboa-Free In Christ Ministries). These ministers designed the magazine to reach the lost. It is placed in businesses all over the greater Houston area. They are putting our monthly prophetic declarations in the magazine in place of a horoscope.

   (5) Prophecy over man elected governor

In another country I prophesied to a man that he would go into politics and open doors for the Kingdom to advance in his country. At that time, he was not involved in politics. He ended up running for governor. He was opposed by a mafia-backed candidate. The day before the election, they had him thrown in jail and the newspaper had already printed the front page announcing his opponent’s victory. BUT he won the election while in jail and the newspaper had to reprint. He has since opened doors of opportunity for the Kingdom to advance in his country.

May The Lord Do A Life-Work

thrilled

May the Lord do a life-work in you before the end of this week. May it be a work
that will settle something, that will loose something, that will open up something,
that will thrill your soul and cause your spirit to soar. May it be a part of your
present victories and your future accomplishments.

“…we pray for you all the time—pray that our God will make you fit for what he’s
called you to be, pray that he’ll fill your good ideas and acts of faith with his own
energy so that it all amounts to something. If your life honors the name of Jesus,
he will honor you. Grace is behind and through all of this, our God giving himself
freely, the Master, Jesus Christ, giving himself freely.” (2Thess.1:11-12, Msg)

Doing More With More Results

We can do far more now with more results. In this year we can do what we could not do 100 years ago, even 50 years ago. We ministered to the Attorney General in another country while he was in the reception area of his president’s office waiting for his appointment. We spoke with him over the phone connection of a laptop computer.

New Age Office  (1) Annual report

Recently we received the annual report from our server for our blog page (martygabler.com. In 2012, 60 countries visited our blog page but in 2013, 78 countries visited our blog page. We receive regular hits from several Middle East countries including Israel. Just in the last few days there were visits from Mozambique, Serbia,  Mexico, Argentina, Czech Republic, Italy, France, Germany, Philippines, Bermuda, Costa Rica, Colombia, Australia, Egypt and Democratic Republic of the Congo. The list for the last 30 days is much longer. Some of those people have left comments on the blog page in broken and misspelled English thanking us for the truths we post, telling us what it has meant to them and asking us to please continue. Yes, the Kingdom is even advancing technologically.

   (2) FaceBook

Face Book has brought us back into contact with family members,  old friends and neighbors of mine and Kathy’s that we haven’t seen or heard from in many years. By means of that bridge we are, once again, able to speak into their lives. People that we pastored in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s have contacted us and those contacts have served to bridge other gaps of relationships that faded away over time. But those threads in the fabric of the advancing Kingdom have been rejoined for more effectiveness.
(No. 3-5 of up-to-date advancements will be posted Wednesday.)

Challenged To A New Level

next levelAs the people of God assemble today, may they be filled with the fullness
of God and challenged to a new level in what our Lord has in His purposes
for each member of the Body of Christ, as we stand for our families and as
we confront the present climate of culture in our nation.

“May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length,
and depth, and height;  19  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth
knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.  20  Now unto
him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us,” (Eph.3:18-20, KJV)

Not Fall In Snare

SnareWe shall not fall subject to the fowler’s snare.
Though snares be laid for us, we will not stray

from our Lord’s precepts nor His presence.
He will keep us.

“The wicked have laid a snare for me, Yet I
have not strayed from Your precepts.” (Ps.119:110, NKJV)

“The wicked do their best to throw me off track,
but I don’t swerve an inch from your course.”

(Ps.119:110, Msg)

You Haven’t Seen Everything

A few months ago we were battling with financial and physical matters. Every solution I could think of was blocked and I couldn’t see any resolve, even on the horizon. Through the course of those days it seemed that a sense of panic would creep up in my gut. Honestly, I had come to the conclusion that we were in a pit that was hopeless.

out of holeAfter wrestling with this insurmountable dilemma for about two weeks, and arriving at certain negative conclusions (trying to choke back panic and hopelessness), I dreamed that I was standing in a wide-open place. I noticed a man walking toward me. When he got right in front of me he stopped and looked me right in the eye. He raised his hand, pointed at me and, matter-of-factly said, “You haven’t seen everything.” Then I woke up.

My foregone conclusions had me convinced that I had exhausted all possibilities because I felt I had seen everything (in all my musings and mental exercises) that might be brought to bear on the difficulties, and those things just simply were not available to us as a solution.

A trembling began down deep inside as I realized that the word in the dream was absolutely correct. I had not seen everything. Within 72 hours the whole thing turned around! Please understand that you have not seen everything. Not only have you not seen everything, but there are things that have not yet been formed in your behalf. (Compare Job 26:12-14; Isa.48:6-7; 1Cor.2:9) The cloud “the size of a man’s hand” did not begin to form until Elijah’s servant walked down to the sea and looked the seventh time (1K.18:44). Because the Kingdom is advancing and bringing with it facilitation for purpose “some of the best days of your life haven’t happened yet.” The Kingdom is advancing and, as you are in the Kingdom, it is advancing you with it.

Everything You Fear Has Limitations

space

Everything you fear has limitations.
“I have seen a limit to everything else,
but your commandments have no limit.”
(Ps.119:96, GW)

World System Invaded

Babies are typically considered quite vulnerable. They are very small, very soft and simply cannot defend themselves. A baby cannot hold a sword or run fast to escape. Yet, a powerful, baby crawldetermined king could not destroy the baby Jesus. When thousands of babies had been slaughtered, the king’s powerful reach could not touch baby Jesus (Matt.2:16). So powerfully, so authoritatively was this world system invaded that it could not touch even one tiny baby who was foreordained to be the embodiment of the advancing Kingdom of God in this earth (compare Mk.2:12). Rome had conquered the world but it didn’t know what to do with a carpenter from Nazareth (Lk.23:4). He walked about freely demonstrating the Kingdom of God (Lk.11:20). He confounded the proponents of false religion (Matt.12:2-5, 24-28). They set a guard on His tomb but could not prevent the invigorating power of the rule of God over death nor could they prevent Jehovah-Sabaoth’s messenger from rolling back the sealed tombstone. The rule and authority of God to finish what He started is unstoppable.

Careful What We Speak

hands to mouth

Let us be careful what we say.
The Lord doesn’t want what we
speak falling to the ground. (1Sam.3:19)

“Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth;
keep watch at the door of my lips.”Ps. 141:3, Amp)

Increase In Spite Of The Negatives

In spite of the angle of descent of morals and values, in spite of what the world money market looks like, in spite of what the state of the union looks like, we stand on the brink of a destiny that our forefathers horizonnever imagined (Jer.33:3)—But it will require moving from being waiters and observers to acting. It will require shifting, modifications, transitions and intense exertion:  the “violent” action of Matt.11:12 which means “intense exertion.” It is not violent in the sense of doing persons harm but in the sense of putting forth effort (i.e., intense exertion) in opposition to things that oppose purpose. We must oppose darkness like opposing a rattlesnake trying to crawl up in our bed. We must do it for our King and for a generation.

Walking Through Walls

ThroughWall

As the people of God assemble today, may the Lord walk through walls of opposition,
walls of impossibility, walls individuals have built between themselves and other members
of the body of Christ. May He miraculously walk through every barrier into our midst
today so that He might release in us and through us His peace, gifts and redemptive power.

“That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were
afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them!
“Peace be with you,” he said.” (Jn.20:19, NLT)
