Mandate is Doable

victory_groupI believe the Kingdom advances when sons of God take ground.  Taking ground is overcoming darkness with Light.  Taking ground is seeing God’s will prevail over opposition and contradiction.  That might sound more like a majestic movie script than a reachable reality, or more like  a mission for a religious hero, or  a quest for a theological giant; but actually it is a matter of God’s original intent in the “Dominion Mandate” and that mandate is doable.

May You Live Longer

Happy old people2As you walk in the purposes of Almighty God may you live longer than you have been told you will live and may you rejoice in the good things that your long life shall bring.

14 “Because you love me, I will rescue you. I will protect you because you know my name.  15  When you call to me, I will answer you.  I will be with you when you are in trouble.  I will save you and honor you.  16  I will satisfy you with a long life.  I will show you how I will save you.” (Ps.91:14-16, GW)

More Than Your Parts

anatomyAs long as we do not see who or what we are in Christ, we are not going to act at that level. You are more than your constituent parts, i.e., you are more than bone and muscle and more than arms and legs and emotions.  “…the Spirit… dwells with you and shall be in you.” (Jn.14:17)  “Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.” (Jn 14:23)  Now we must give Him release through our voice and through our actions. We are our constituent parts plus the Living Christ. After Jesus announced that all authority in heaven and earth had been given to Him, He told His disciples to go. It was His valedictory address announcing to them that it was now their time to release the sovereign activity of the Father.

What God Has Put In Us

David n GoliathWe must be careful not to undersell ourselves. All of us have undersold what God has put in us for appointments and we have kept our mouths shut because we have focused on our individual value without consideration for what God has put in us. David’s brothers only considered him as their bothersome little brother when they told him to go back home and tend to those few sheep. Thank God he did not limit himself to the considerations his brothers limited him to. It was evident, when he faced Goliath, where David’s considerations were: “And David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of Jehovah of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” (1Sa 17:45)   Goliath came against David with only consideration of who he was within himself but David came against Goliath with only consideration of who God was in him.

More Or Less Spiritual

looking upHaving been around church-life a good many years I have observed a variety of people comparing who is “more spiritual” than whom and making judgments accordingly. Yet, after considering Scripture and observing folks, indication is that the one who is “more spiritual” is least judgmental; the one who is “more spiritual” is more loving and is most willing to walk the extra mile; the one who is “more spiritual” doesn’t cause criticism and rebellion in others. The “more spiritual” concept doesn’t separate, it adds to. Honestly, looking back over the years, I really don’t remember “truly spiritual people” (those whose lifetime proved Scripturally exemplary and reflective of the fruit of the Spirit) actually being all that concerned about making assessments on the lives of others. (1Cor. 9:27; 13:1-3; 2Cor. 10:12)

Doors For Release

200019477-001There have been unknown, unnamed people who have had an impact on a nation because they were in a place where God wanted them to be to release what He had put in them to release. God can put you in a position where someone else can open a door for you that you would have never been able to pry open on your most determined day.

Kingdom Expression

family

The Kingdom of God has an expression in each generation. What our parents were not, we can be.

What has not been accomplished in past generations can be accomplished in our generation.

“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.” (Ps.145:13, NKJV)

God’s Active Government

people prayingGod’s government is active in this world today. It is not by something on the order of the waving of a magic wand. That government is active through sons/daughters that are indwelled by the powerful Person called Holy Spirit. Every son/daughter of God carries the same authority that Jesus did (Jn.20:21). Everything that needs to be done in this earth is already in you and I. Compare the example of Adam naming the animals. God turned him loose to name the animals because it was already in Adam. All it needed was for the Governor to authorize the release. God releases us to “get it done” by the empowering of the Holy Spirit (Acts1:8).
