Being Confident of Purpose

Kathy Gabler— Identity is knowing who you are and being confident you have purpose for being here.  The first shot the devil took at Jesus in the wilderness was at His identity: “IF You are God’s Son, then command these stones.”  However, Jesus was so confident of His identity that Satan couldn’t tempt Him to even have to prove it. (Ps.71:18)

The Battle Ahead

Melissa Gabler—What I keep seeing is the last stretch of earning our stripes for, dare I say it, the battle ahead. There is battle coming, but our training and equipping is gearing us up to take it head on.  I just have such a sense that even though the battle will be hot we will experience it like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, “… saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, who had sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him,” (Daniel 3:27-28) In order to be like these fire-walkers we need to stay in our lane so the finishing touches can be put in place.

New Norms Forming

KATHY GABLER—A NORM is something that is normal, typical, the known and what usually happens. What if every time you prayed for the sick they were healed on the spot?  That’s not the impossible dream because it happened in the New Testament, but that’s not a NORM where I’m from, not yet at least.  What if we couldn’t guarantee Church-As-Usual in the future because the Holy Spirit started translating people during worship to go work miracles and come back and tell what God did?  That would be a New Norm! What if people went to church to DO what’s on Father’s front burner and participated in an intercessory, governmental coo that brought down the dictator over politics in a county or over child abuse or poverty in a region?  I declare, such  New Norms are forming.

God is in the City

MARTY GABLER—As the people of God assemble today, may they know within their hearts and shout with their voices that God is in the city and though the waves toss and roar, they shall not destroy for the voice of God is greater. (Jer.5:22, Amp) ”Do you not fear and reverence Me? says the Lord. Do you not tremble before Me? I placed the sand for the boundary of the sea, a perpetual barrier beyond which it cannot pass and by an everlasting ordinance beyond which it cannot go? And though the waves of the sea toss and shake themselves, yet they cannot prevail [against the feeble grains of sand which God has ordained by nature to be sufficient for His purpose]; though [the billows] roar, yet they cannot pass over that [barrier]. [Is not such a God to be reverently feared and worshiped?]”

It is Not Over

MARTY GABLER—May you realize right through the haze of doubt and shortcomings and delays that it is not over for you and the purpose that God has put in you. May you come to realize today that the God who does not give up has not given up on you and getting you to destiny. Father God does not give up and does not stop moving by the power of His mighty hand.   ”The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” (Ps.138:8, NKJV)

Trust Keeps the Door Open

MELISSA GABLER—Trust keeps the door open to dwell in His presence.  We stay around those we trust.  Ps.84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Trust is the gateway to God’s intentions for us, equipping, protection, grace, favor and all good things.  It makes sense that the summation of this Psalm is, “O Lord of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You.” On top of being born to trust, these are compelling reasons to do so.

A Maturing Season

Kathy Gabler—Father God is initiating a maturing season that will bring forth mature sons who get mature results for the Glory of their Father.  When I read 2Co 10:3-6, this is what it says to me:  For though we are flesh and blood, when it comes to war we are not limited to physical frailties, human nature or human passions.  For the weapons and tools of our warfare are not fettered by mere human motives and passions with temporal effects.  Rather, we dismantle the powers of darkness by pulling down their conniving efforts to block our knowing God and His instruction that will cause us to prevail.  As we learn to pierce the piece God points out, we will see God-results.  Like our example, we will learn to merely do what He says do and watch God happen.

Key for Being Awake

Melissa Gabler — Here is a key for being awake, “If you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” (Prov. 2:3-6)  When we wake up we have to have insight and understanding to be able to navigate what God is doing in this earth. How thrilling is it that we get to be alive for this?  We just need to accept the invitation to be a part of what Father is doing.  Gotta say, I accept even though I don’t even know what all is next.  I’m just waking up to a whole new world, waiting for my eyes to clear up so I can see it!

The Kingdom is in Effect

KATHY GABLER—His Kingdom has already been in effect, now is in effect and will be in effect always.  That contradicts that silent someday that would keep the Kingdom of God out of reach during our lifetime, or keep “righteousness and peace and joy” in His presence only a future, someday realization (Rom 14:17).  How messed up is it to think that righteousness, peace and joy are unreachable until you die?  That thinking would make “Thy Kingdom come” a death request.  Could we get any more perversely opposite to the heart of God than that?  Could we deny His New Covenant provision any louder than that?  If we think that His Kingdom (meaning His rule and His order) cannot come into earth now when we pray, is it any wonder that manifestations of His power show up piecemeal rather than bulk, or sporadically rather than continually?  Poor God.  When His stewards on earth think like that, they only accidentally stumble into agreement that opens the earth to God’s will in the now.
