Falling Into Unbelief

KATHY GABLER—Falling into unbelief isn’t really even complicated.  When trials are extensive and answers  to prayer are long in coming, doubt will always show up and build a case for unbelief.  Doubt sniffs us out when we are afraid.  Fear stinks and Doubt smells it!  Fear is similar to germs in that it’s everywhere.  We can dismiss it and wash it away like we do germs with soap, or we can allow the fear germs to infect us: “I’m afraid the situation might never change.  I’m afraid they might not be healed. I’m afraid I might not be able to stand and keep fighting.”  The moment we embrace fear, Doubt says, “AMEN,” and we begin the descent into unbelief; and unbelief is always a losing-ground war!
