Jesus Wants to be Connected to Us
The first man seen in London with an umbrella was stoned. He refused to continue to succumb to the elements and connected himself to a higher level of dealing with those things that affected his health. Unfamiliar things signaling progress from an age to come were feared and not welcome. Those who had no desire to connect any differently, who did not intend to change, violently rejected such a practical approach. Jesus said, (Jn.15:5) ”I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing.” Jesus wants to be connected to us.
