Hard to Forgive

Kathy — A person who has been abused will find it hard to forgive when emotion demands they keep a vigil over injustice. Thinking differently would mean trusting God’s Word that He is faithful to bring justice. It is a challenge to forgive by choice; it is a directive from the God we trust. God supplies enabling grace to follow His directive and forgive when it is not deserved. Though difficult, it is not impossible. Matt.6:14, Amp — “For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
