Not by Accident but by Design

The kingdoms of this world are to become the kingdoms of our Lord – not by accident but by design, not by mere decree but by agency. It is by divine design involving you and I as we are filled with the Holy Spirit to bring that heavenly Kingdom into this earthly realm. (Jn.20:22; Eph.5:18; Rev.11:15)

More Than Just Getting By

There is more to life than just getting by. There is more to life than just breathing and paying bills. There are promises of God to lay hold of and green pastures to eat and be at peace in. The Word is full of things God has said we can have and do and be, and precious few of us have done more than barely scratch the surface of those things. Let’s get to scratching! (Gal.4:4-5)

Start Your Own Spiritual History

Start your own spiritual history. For the last 19 or 20 generations, Israel only had a physical history and were willing to walk back into slavery in Egypt. Physical lack and/or physical infirmity may be all the history some families have to date. You be the one who refuses to walk back and embrace that old history. You be the one to break the cycle. (Eph.1:17-19; Phil.4:13)

Breaking Bondages

20 generations of Israel had known nothing but slavery. Master commands and slave responds. No freedom and no fulfillment, just like many today. We can break in our generation the things that have bound us so that the coming generation does not have to live under them. If we remain under the bondage of past generations, so will our children. It starts with us. (Gen.13:14)

Circumstances That Grasp

Hand grab arm.jpgDo not adopt the world’s sense of hopelessness. Their hopelessness does not take God’s love or miracles into account. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom.12:2). Do not be held in the present circumstances that try to hold you in their grasp. Get into the Word and get God’s picture of things.

Your Inner Man Lifted Up

Prayer Laying hands.jpgAs the people of God assemble today may their inner man be lifted up and encouraged with the liveliness of the Holy Spirit actively moving in them with the power of the Word of God and the synergistic, healing fellowship of other believers. ”that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man.” (Eph.3:16)

Living With God’s Purpose

ThinkingHandMouthFor 400 yrs. Israel had been in a situation where they knew what to expect every day and at every turn. Their surroundings were so familiar that they had become acceptable. It was predictable and even appeared to be logical but… it wasn’t necessary. We don’t have to learn to live with anything that is not God’s purpose for our lives. (Ps.57:2; 138:7-8; Phil.1:6; 1Thess.5:23-24)

Correction and Trusting

Chain Trust.jpgCondemnation will make it almost impossible for us to be corrected. Correction requires trusting someone else’s decision or opinion. Correction requires being willing to change where necessary. Trust in God will get trouble off the porch.(Ps.37:39) Trust is a guard against condemnation. (Jn.5:24) Trust will overcome your past. (Ps.34:2) Trust is a weapon that defeats condemnation. —Kathy G

Give Thanks

It is a good thing to be reminded on one spacial day of the year that it is our
Fall Wagon Pumpkins.jpgfull time occupation every day (while going out, while being out and while
coming in) to give thanks to the LORD for goodness is not just an attribute,
it is what God is and He can be nothing else. Let there be giving of thanks
(in both speaking and singing) to Yahweh, who is most gracious. “It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, To sing praises to Your name, O Most High” (Ps.92:1, Amp)
