With One Word

MELISSA—With one word God intends to align what has been out of line.  With one word He intends to right the wrongs.  With one word He intends to do what He had in mind all along. The word “radical” has become my one word declaration over many situations and people. It’s one word, but it says it all! Right here in the middle of some of the most chaotic days of most of our lives, God says one word — one very loaded and life-changing word.  It might seem like the end of all things, but fear not.  We are about to see the radical that has been happening behind the scenes. We might think we have seen radical happening already. Nope, we are about to see radical for real.  Isaiah 55:11 (His word will accomplish what He pleases) is a truth that we will see manifest in our day.  How so? Radically.  No need in any of us trying to figure out how, for whom, or even when. God’s radical is a steam engine barreling down the track building speed. Let’s just get out of the way. To you and your family I say, “radical!” To the United States of America, one nation under God, I say, “RADICAL!”

Praying as a Piece of a God Bridge

KATHY—I shifted into park and started to turn the key off when I had a strange sense of urgency to leave again. I shifted into reverse and backed out of the driveway.  In a few minutes, I found myself in an unfamiliar location, in front of an old family business. Realizing God had obviously orchestrated this moment, I had God-faith to pray, proclaiming what I suddenly knew to be the will of God over that business.  God answered this prayer in a matter of days and prospered the business! I was most definitely not the only one who prayed.  However, I was certain that the prayer that rose up out of me had been an essential piece of the bridge God was building into this situation for the breakthrough the business needed.

Everything That can be Shaken

God promises to shake everything that can be shaken (Heb.12:27). It is His solemn word and something that He will not do half-heartedly. We have an unshakeable Kingdom (Heb.12:28) because we have an unchanging Person, Jesus (Heb.13:8). The religious system and practices of the church are being shaken as well as the systems of this world. The Kingdom cannot be shaken. The authority and power of God to act sovereignly through His people cannot be shaken. His truths and redemptive government that release the captive cannot be shaken. But the systems of misbelief and the systems that sustain the agendas of men are most definitely being shaken.

A Threshold War

MELISSA–It’s been something else the last month or so! There have been many calls, reports and instances that could keep one in the prayer closet 24/7 (let alone what’s going on nationally). It’s one of those moments that, while feeling bombarded, you realize there are many feeling the same way so there must be something bigger afoot. If you are nodding your head in agreement right now I would just like to encourage you. In the middle of a rather intense evening recently my mom said, “This is a threshold war.” That was the hammer that struck the gong right there! I then saw me and my family pushing through a clear membrane into a new place. Then around 3:00AM the next morning, I woke up and kept hearing, “You are there.” The only thing left was writing on the wall! We are at a new threshold!

Unpacking Excess Baggage

KATHY—Our traditions can be excess baggage that we have to unpack for the journey through a new gate.  We need to unpack passionless pieces and old seasons and expired obediences, those acts that were once a mandate but lost their effectualness as times and circumstances changed.  Israel had many parameters for sacrifice.  They were all teaching-tools and types to anticipate and understand the coming Messiah.  All their animal sacrifices were blood that was shed for an exemplary nation until the Christ would come to shed His blood for all mankind.  An expired obedience would be to continue the ceremony after the type had been fulfilled.  That translates in our day as expired legalisms that want to impose on us the traditions of men instead of the freedom of Christ, like trying to breed a red heifer or build another temple or enforce religious calendar activities again.  When God provides a gate, expired goals won’t fit through it.

Life-Changing Word

As the people of God assemble today may His powerful, life-changing Word be preached with Holy Spirit anointing and great conviction in order that we may be sanctified and pure so we may be separate from profane things in days to come and be preserved complete in our Lord Jesus Christ.  “And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).” (1Thess.5:23, Amp)
