Truth and Freedom
Kathy — John 8:32 tells us, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” This scripture shows us there is an undeniable link between truth and 
freedom. If the mind, will and emotions do not anchor in truth, people can be taken captive by darkness. Darkened souls distort the concept of freedom into extremes of entitlement and doing as they please. Darkened minds are deceived into believing freedom means unrestrained, unaccountable and anti-establishment, and the outcome is destructive chaos and captivity, (as is vividly demonstrated in our nation at the moment). When our forefathers declared their intent to be a self-governing and self-reliant nation with freedom and justice for all, they started with these four words: “We hold these truths . . .” Knowing truth is a basic essential for genuine freedom.
