Removing The Stinger

Removing The Stinger (Kathy)

The most common way to defuse a weapon from within is by pulling the stinger out of our emotions. When we pull the emotions out of memories of upsetting events, conversations, incidences and experiences, it is like taking the stinger out of a wasp wound.  Once the stinger is removed, the pain can begin to fade and the wound begins to heal. Sometimes we must remove stingers from more than memories.  We must also remove the emotions from the wound to our self-image. Self-image cannot become healthy unless stingers are removed and resolved.  Emotion can be the stinger in our opinion of others.  Emotion can be the stinger in our thought patterns.  The power of emotion is that it commands attention.  Emotion calls for agreement and expression which in turn sustains it and perpetuates its fire.  Emotion affects our mind and body and demands expression through thoughts and health, which in turn affect our lifestyle and relationships. Emotion must be brought to resolve or its demands for expression continue.  Resolve will only come through change of mind or heart.  The defusing of a weapon rooted in emotion boils down to repentance or forgiveness.
