When Water Acts Differently

Waterwall“I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.” (Jer.29:11, GW) God’s plans for His own continue regardless of present circumstances. Consider: (1) Israel went through the bottom of the Red Sea on dry ground. The Red Sea, the water, was prevented from functioning like water. Though Israel was surrounded by water, it did not function like water where they were concerned. The same water (circumstances) functioned like water upon Pharaoh’s army but not on Israel (Cf.Ex.8:22-23;9:4,26;10:22-23;11:7;Isa.60:1-3). God Almighty caused water to act differently, He altered circumstances, because it was required to fulfill His promises and get His people to destiny.
