Destiny And Display
Destiny And Display
The destiny of the church is not to line up at the end of a service and shake the preacher’s hand so we can get to heaven. The destiny of the church is to rule with Christ in this life so that He is glorified in bringing many sons to the realization of why they were born (Heb2:10). 1Pe 2:9 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and DISPLAY the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (Amp) We were born to “show forth”, to “put on display,” to witness to powers and principalities (Eph 3:10) in this life. Our theme song is not “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” but it is “Shine, Jesus Shine!” The destiny of the Church is to rule in this life by the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit, covered by the blood of Jesus, walking in grace and imitating the life of Jesus.
